The shadows of the Sierra Nevada stretch across a autumn California sky as the sun seeks below the level of the peaks. The tufa towers wait in the growing twilight as the photographers pack up and head home.
About Rikk Flohr
My name is Rikk Flohr, and I am a photographer and digital artist. I paint with a broad brush, covering many subjects, disciplines, and art forms with my photography. My past includes a 3-term tenure as an Artist in Residence at Badlands National Park and instructing photographers across the Western Hemisphere. Believing that any image is only halfway complete when the shutter is snapped, I further develop my images with an artistic vision that is my own and strays from the conventional. My Artist's Statement says it best: "I see the world and capture it, recreating it in my mind to match my singular vision and sole interpretation of reality. Beauty I seek, and beauty I intend to convey."
