This is a painting of two friesian cows, based on a photograph, taken at Throop, Bournemouth. It is painted in oils on a canvas 12" x 9". The painting was done at the same time as these other cow paintings see here on this site. It is, because of its small size, quite crudly painted but the colours are strong and the composition simple.
